Assistant Professor of Medicine, School of Medicine
NextGen Focus Area: Cancer and Immunology
Senthil Palaniyandi focuses his basic and translational research on murine models of acute and chronic graft-versus-host disease. He studies the molecular pathogenesis of graft-versus-host disease to identify targetable pathways for treatments. His other area of interest is biological therapies and immunotherapy for hematologic malignancies and the graft-versus-leukemia effect.
Precision Health Impact:
- Understanding the pathophysiology of graft-versus-host disease and transplant immunology in murine models of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
- Developing novel therapies for graft-versus-host disease and hematological malignancies.
