NextGen Clinical Trial Investigator Training - Session 4, May 1

The NextGen Clinical Trial Investigator Training is a virtual five-session educational program designed for investigators who currently lead or would like to lead clinical trials. The series includes lectures and panel discussions from leaders across the University of Missouri System, as well as Washington University, to define the regulatory, operational and ethical components of clinical trials, with the goal of developing a skilled workforce that provides the highest level of patient safety, teamwork and data quality. The program also covers institution-specific resources for investigators.

 

Timeframe: Five weeks, starting April 10 through May 8

American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA)   

This activity contributes to the CME component of the American Board of Anesthesiology’s redesigned Maintenance of Certification in AnesthesiologyTM (MOCA®) program, known as MOCA 2.0®. Please consult the ABA website, www.theABA.org, for a list of all MOCA 2.0 requirements.   

American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM)   

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 15 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of recognizing participation.   

American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO)

American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (ABOHNS)   

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn their required annual part II self-assessment credit in the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery’s Continuing Certification program (formerly known as MOC). It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of recognizing participation.   

American Board of Pathology (ABPath)   

This activity has been registered to offer credit in the American Board of Pathology’s Continuing Certification program in Lifelong Learning. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of recognizing participation.    

American Board of Pediatrics (ABP)   

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn up to 15 MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP MOC credit.”   

American Board of Surgery (ABS)   

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME and/or Self-Assessment requirements of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.

Current ACCME (Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education) rules state that participants in CE activities should be made aware of any relevant affiliation or financial interest in the previous 24 months that may affect the planning of an educational activity or a speaker’s presentation(s). Each planning committee member and speaker has been requested to complete a financial relationship reporting form for the NextGen Precision Health Clinical Trial Investigator Training (CTIT). 

No speaker or planning committee member has a relevant financial interest.  

Continuing Medical Education Credits for Non-MU Physicians 

Physicians on the faculties of the University of Missouri and Washington University in St. Louis may receive Continuing Medical Education credit for CTIT at no cost.  Physicians outside of these institutions should contact MU’s Continuing Education for Health Professions.  CME will be billed at the prevailing rate of $25/hour.  To obtain proof of continuing education credits and to process your payment please send your request to cehp@missouri.edu or call 573-882-4105.
