About the Speaker
Dr. Maitz is a veterinary radiation oncologist with strong interests in clinical radiation therapy, comparative medicine, radiation biology and radiation dosimetry. He's had a research focus in translational models of high LET radiation including boron neutron capture therapy and targeted alpha therapy, as well as in neutron dosimetry and computational dose modeling. Much of this research uses Monte Carlo based computer modeling using Geant4 and Gate.
Research Interests: Traumatic spinal cord injury, regenerative medicine.
Clinical Interests: All aspects of neurology and neurosurgery.
